Your Key To Tel Aviv – A City that Never Sleeps

Established by 66 families who set out to create Israel’s first modern metropolis, Tel Aviv officially became a city in 1909 and has since gained recognition as the stomping ground for those who wish to experience urbanism fused with a sense of heritage.

This is where I am proud to call “home” – a place that is both glamourous and down-to-earth, famous for its culinary adventures and vibrant nightlife.  It is Israel’s financial and cultural centre, as well as an international hub for art and creativity, commerce and trade, media and academia.  Tel Aviv warmly embraces the many diverse communities that compose this unique city and continues to welcome visitors from all around the world.  Let me introduce you to some of my favorite places in the city.

Tel Aviv is blessed with mild and warm weather and feels like summer all year round.  I recommend taking a walk along the beachfront promenade towards old Jaffa until you reach Jaffa Port, one of the oldest fishermen ports in the world.  Here you will find countless restaurants serving traditional local Mediterranean cuisine and numerous unique art galleries. Explore the old city of Jaffa, and visit its small boutiques, museums, restaurants and bars, the streets filled with a sense of history.

The InterContinental David Tel Aviv is located in Neve Tzedek, a most vibrant neighborhood also known as the “Soho of Tel Aviv”.  It is filled with beautiful designer shops, charming little cafés and elegant fine dining restaurants.  Here you will also find the Performing Arts Center which is the premier venue for Israeli and international contemporary dance companies, and it is well worth a visit.  A short walk from the Art Centre is the Carmel Market – the biggest and most famous market in Tel Aviv.  Here you will surely be amazed by the rows and rows of colorful fruits and vegetables stalls among other food vendors.

With over 3,000 active start-ups, Tel Aviv is the hub for technological innovations.  Take a tour of the Start–Up Nation Central situated close to the InterContinental David Tele Aviv and discover the various innovative and creative projects happening in the city.

Rich with a diverse, vibrant and attractive nightlife scene, Tel Aviv offers countless bars and clubs with varying themes and music.

One of my favorite areas in the city is the Rothschild Boulevard.  This street is known for the many Bauhaus architectural style buildings built along the boulevard.  With over 4,000 Bauhaus buildings, Tel Aviv is also known as the “White City” and proclaimed as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO.

I encourage all of you to take a day to walk the streets of Tel Aviv and experience the wonders of this city.
