Bangkok, also known as “Krung Thep Maha Nakhon,” which means “The City of Angels.” The city is rich in culture and tradition. Lively neighborhoods blend with royal heritage history and spiritual landmarks. It offers visitors a memorable experience, from majestic temples to energetic walking streets.
It is impossible not to mention one of the most iconic attractions, “The Grand Palace,” or “The Emerald Buddha Temple,” or as local people know it, “Wat Phra Kaew.” The Palace has been the official residence of the King of Siam (later known as Thailand) in the past. It also houses the country’s most sacred Buddha image, “The Emerald Buddha.” A few steps from the Palace, “Wat Pho,” or the Reclining Buddha Temple, is located not far away, just a 10-minute walkable distance. It houses the famous 46-meter-long golden Buddha statue. It is also known as the origin of traditional Thai massage.
Not too far across the river, you will see a massive tower-like temple called the “Temple of Dawn,” or “Wat Arun,” by the locals. It is a must-see scenic spot during sunset or after sunset, with a breathtaking view of the Chao Phraya River. Speaking of the river, you may be interested in a long-tail boat ride to see the life of the people who live by the river and canals. Visit Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen, which you can access by long-tail boat, to see the breathtaking 150-foot-tall Buddha and a stunning glass stupa that glows with light.
If you prefer somewhere with fewer people but still iconic, it would be “Wat Saket,” or the “Golden Mountain Temple,” the one and only hill in Bangkok. It is of great significance for all followers of the Lord Buddha. A total of 320 stairs take you to the top for panoramic views of the city.
Beyond temples, Bangkok is also famous for walking streets and street food. “Chinatown,” or “Yaowarat Road,” is widely regarded as one of the best street food destinations in the world, offering everything from fresh seafood and dim sum to noodle stalls and desserts. “Song Wat Road” features charming old houses transformed into stylish cafés and creative spaces, while “Talad Noi,” a historic riverside neighborhood, is known for street art, antique shops, and traditional workshops.
Your Bangkok trip will not be complete without experiencing “Muay Thai,” the nation’s traditional sport. Visit Rajadamnern Stadium, get a ticket, and enjoy the most traditional Thai fight of all time.

I am originally from Khon Kaen, a province in the northeastern part of Thailand. I moved to Bangkok when I was five years old, so I consider myself a Bangkok resident. My very first job was as a doorman, and I became a concierge in 2019 at Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit.
My journey to becoming a concierge was not easy, but I am proud that I have finally become a professional concierge, especially after becoming a member of Les Clefs d’Or. Meeting guests from around the world who visit Bangkok and speaking with them feels like sharing my own experiences with theirs. This passion motivates me every day, as I always look forward to learning something new from meeting new people.
As a host of the city, continuously updating my knowledge of attractions, activities, restaurants, and more for the benefit of our guests is one of my favorite things to do. I believe that being a concierge is not just a position, but a lifestyle driven by passion every single day. As a Les Clefs d’Or concierge, I will continue to work hard to fulfill our guests’ wishes as a proud member of Les Clefs d’Or.
