In a world consumed by hustle, embark on a new journey with me to take on National Parks Singapore’s challenge of a coast-to-coast walking trail.

This 36km park connector that starts in Singapore’s west at Jurong Lake Garden and ends in the northeast at Coney Island. Consisting of checkpoints, passing through Singapore’s hidden gems that majority have overlooked. This path will undoubtedly give you a new perspective on Singapore.

Starting from the west comprises Lakeside, Chinese and Japanese Garden. Offering scenic landscapes and themed gardens provides a serene escape within the urban environment. Additionally, there are water activities, play areas, and a variety of flora and fauna, making it a versatile destination for relaxation and outdoor activities.

Along the journey to the North-east of Singapore there are nature parks such as Bukit Batok Nature Park and Bukit Timah Hill offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes known for its scenic beauty and historical significance of lives lost during World War 2.

Next will be the oldest botanic gardens in the world will be the Singapore Botanic Garden, established in 1859, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Key featuring the National Orchid Garden, which houses a stunning display of orchids, and the iconic Swan Lake.

Continuing our trail walk to the Macritchie reservoir, a part of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, we can explore a network of walking trails, including the iconic Treetop Walk, providing stunning view of the forest canopy.

Lastly, we will reach the Punggol Waterway includes landscaped areas, cycling paths, and scenic promenades along the water. Offering opportunities for outdoor activities, leisurely walks, and enjoying the waterfront views. The ending point of the walk will be the rustic charm of Coney Island which makes it a popular destination for nature lovers and those seeking an escape from the urban hustle.

We can stroll over well-known locations like as Orchard Road and Bugis Street, and treat ourselves to some delicious, refreshing ice cream. With flavours ranging from raspberry ripple to chocolate chip cookie, this cube-shaped ice cream is typically served between waffle biscuits or the classic rainbow slice of bread. Additionally, they are priced at SGD1.20, which is a great offer!

End the day, by heading to Lau Pa Sat to enjoy Local and international cuisine in a hawker area. In order to accommodate more customers, the road in the middle of Singapore’s Central Business District will close at 7 p.m. In order to relieve our thirst, we’ll match fresh sugar cane juice with “sambal” stingrays and “satays.”

Additionally, you might see a row of vendors selling skewered meat and chicken by the side of the road, called satays. Keep an eye out for Stall No. 8, since they are renowned for having the greatest satays available!

I began working in hotels as a porter at the age of sixteen. In the interim of working as a part time porter, I pursued my studies in Technology and Arts Management in order to broaden my creative skills beyond fine arts to performing arts. But the allure of hospitality didn't fade from me, and in the end, I decided to get a hotel and accommodation services certification from the Singapore Hotel Association Training and Education Center. I consider myself fortunate and honoured to have my father, a Les Clefs d'Or Golden key member who has also motivated me to become a concierge and share the same passion. My father used to tell amazing tales to me when I was younger, telling how he had helped every guest he had met achieve the almost unattainable. His fascinating anecdotes piqued my interest in his line of work, and I ultimately chose to pursue a career as a concierge in this field. It has been 7years now that I am a fully pledged Concierge and I enjoyed every magical memories I have created for my guest. The wonderful positive reviews I get in return is definitely an icing on the cake!
