It’s a diverse city with something for everyone, from enlightening museum and art exhibitions, centuries of traditions to experience, iconic landmarks to see and a diverse food scene to taste. What I love most about London is the unique contrast between the liveliness of the city and the peacefulness you experience from the various parks scattered around the city.
When you think of London and nature, you may picture the incredible Royal Parks including the iconic Hyde Park where locals head for a city stroll. Or even the neatly landscaped Green Park, located steps away from Buckingham Palace.
One often overlooked park in the city, and my personal favourite, is Hampstead Heath located in the northern region of London just 4 miles from the city centre. A park that offers the unique feeling of being in an English countryside retreat yet still remaining moments away from the capital of the country.
Hampstead Heath is a treasure trove of different experiences. From taking a splash in the public swimming ponds alongside the various species of British ducks, visiting the charming zoo which welcomed its first animal over a century ago. Or just simply having a relaxing stroll through the rolling hills, and taking in the most impressive views looking out to the London skyline at various viewpoints.
Hidden away in the park is also The Hill Garden and Pergola. A unique space to roam through what feels like an abandoned city being gently reclaimed by nature.
For art lovers, Kenwood House cannot be missed. The grade II listed building contains a significant collection of paintings from the likes of Joshua Reynolds and Rembrandt. It also presents a unique architectural time capsule, particularly seen in their Library Room designed by Robert Adam in the 18th century. The pastel coloured room designed in a Neoclassical style, is considered to be one of the finest surviving 18th century interiors in England offering us an interesting insight into the past.
To wind down from the exploration of the park, take a visit to the historical pub Spaniards Inn. Opened in 1585, Spaniards Inn has kept its centuries old features and is perfect for all seasons. Their roaring open fires and traditional Sunday Roasts are perfect to warm up in the winter. For summer, their rotating collection of draught beers – from the latest London brewery’s – can be enjoyed in their outdoor terraced space.
It is also thanks to Spaniards Inn that we are able to admire the beauty of Kenwood House. During the Gordon Riots in 1780, protesters were burning homes around London, with Kenwood House being one of the targets. The pubs landlord, Giles Thomas, stopped rioters from reaching Kenwood House by offering free and unlimited beer, successfully keeping them at the pub until the officers arrived to arrest them.
With its blend of countryside calm and urban life, Hampstead Heath captures the city’s contrast
and shows why London is a must-visit destination.

I started my career in hospitality as a Luggage Porter in 2015, then moved on to become a night and day receptionist, to then becoming a Concierge in 2019, where I found my true passion. Becoming a Les Clefs d’Or member had been a goal of mine since the very first day I joined the Concierge Department, a goal that I achieved in 2025.
I stepped into my first management position at the opening of Park Hyatt London River Thames Hotel in October 2024 as an Assistant Head Concierge and then became Head Concierge six months after.
My strongest motivation in both work and outside, is to mentor and support younger team members and those aspiring to join and grow into the industry, helping them to achieve their next steps. I have been fortunate enough to have mentors who truly believed in me and made me shine, and my goal is to inspire those who surround me the same way I have been inspired.
I feel very fortunate to do a profession I truly love, and want to spread my love for this profession to those around me
